Lutheran church marks milestone by doing service

North Image — St. Andrew Lutheran Church members celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America on Sept. 8. Church volunteers picked up litter in Orchards Park, pulled weeds from the rose garden, washed picnic tables and signs and swept asphalt paths. They also cleaned up the church’s community garden and preschool playground, wrote letters of encouragement to veterans and Orchards Elementary School teachers and sewed slip sheets for the Winter Hospitality Overflow program.
