The Camas Finance Department will be closed for nearly three days as its computer software is upgraded.
The closure allows for the installation of new Springbrook software and employee training.
The shutdown begins at noon Wednesday, and lasts until Monday, when the finance department re-opens at 10 a.m.
The $30,800 cost to upgrade the current software, which serves the city’s financial, accounting and utility systems, is part of the 2013 approved budget.
Finance Director Cathy Huber Nickerson said the current system is approximately 12 years old. City officials expect that the new software will improve efficiencies and services for city staff and citizens.
