There’s no place like Fishback Stadium for the Washougal High School football team.

The Panthers defeated Ridgefield 36-18 Friday, on the eve of their homecoming dance.

Bobby Jacobs grilled the Spudders with four touchdown runs. Jacobs and Will Peterson recovered fumbles caused by Tristan Roseff and Brandon Casteel. Peterson returned his fumble to the 1-yard line, and then Jacobs jumped over the line of defenders to score a touchdown. He also ran in the 2-point conversion for good measure.

Casteel ran in the first touchdown for the Panthers. Chase Duey and Donald Holbert Jr. earned interceptions on defense.

Papermakers keep rolling

Camas cruised to a 62-15 victory against Evergreen Friday, at McKenzie Stadium.

The Plainsmen couldn’t hold on to the football. Michael DiGenova picked up three fumbles and turned then into touchdowns for the Papermakers. Trevor Wochnick also scored a touchdown for Camas off a fumble.

Zach Eagle paired a 38-yard interception return touchdown with a 61-yard touchdown catch from quarterback Reilly Hennessey. Nate Beasley and Jorden Payne caught touchdown passes from Hennessey. Beasley also had a touchdown run.

See you on the sidelines.
