The Parks Foundation of Clark County was named a “Force of Nature” and the Outstanding Organization of 2013 by the Intertwine Alliance, a regional coalition of trail and natural-area boosters.
The honor came Wednesday at the Intertwine Alliance Fall Summit. The Parks Foundation was cited for innovation and collaboration. Its nomination mentioned its grant program for Clark County cities, its work with groups and organizations of all sorts and the success of its Nature Explore Club for kids and families.
In September, the Parks Foundation received the Nonprofit Network of Southwest Washington’s 2013 Impact Award, honoring a nonprofit organization whose performance set a high standard.
The Parks Foundation is a homegrown nonprofit agency that funnels donations to parks, trails and recreation programs.
