Rylee Seekins of the Hockinson girls soccer team was voted The Columbian’s high school fall sports athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Oct. 5.
Seekins collected 43 percent of the 1,460 votes cast by fans to beat out Braeden Campbell of Camas golf, who had 33 percent.
Seekins had two goals and an assist as the Hawks opened 2A Greater St. Helens League play with a pair of wins.
The other nominees were Columbia River swimmer Monica Bottelberghe, Skyview volleyball player Kelsey Brown and Union cross country runner Alexis Fuller.
