PORTLAND — The Portland Trail Blazers had 17 turnovers in the first half of their first preseason game and the Los Angeles Clippers took advantage on their way to an 89-81 victory on Monday.
Nicolas Batum was Portland’s leading scorer with 12 points in 27 minutes, while Damian Lillard scored 11 points and dished six assists in 25 minutes.
“I can’t remember the last time I saw 17 turnovers in a half,” Blazers head coach Terry Stotts said.
DeAndre Jordan was dominant for the Clippers in the first half with 14 points, six rebounds and four blocks.
