Kiggins Bowl was not ready for this much Papermaking, and neither was Skyview.
The lights went out at the stadium Friday with the Camas football team leading 47-0. By then, the Papermakers had already sucked the juice out of the Storm. After a 20-minute blackout, Camas went on to win 47-12.
Jason Vailea capped a persistent opening drive by the Papermakers with a rush across the goal line for a touchdown. After catching a 6-yard touchdown pass from Reilly Hennessey, Jordan Payne snagged an interception and took it all the way back to the end zone for a 54-yard touchdown.
Cole Zarcone used his head to block a punt for Camas. The ball bounced off his helmet and ricocheted through the goal post for two points on a safety. Zarcone also finished off the next drive with an 18-yard touchdown run.
The Papermakers kept rolling along. Adam Dawson caused a fumble, and Brad Hansen returned it for a touchdown. Nate Beasley cut through Skyview like paper and scored on a 12-yard touchdown run. Caleb Lightborn kicked a 34-yard field goal.
