Off-campus student housing for fall 2014 is off the table at Washington State University Vancouver.
Last spring, WSUV issued a request for proposals for off-campus student housing within walking distance of campus. Three proposals were submitted and two were investigated further, said Brenda Alling, WSUV spokeswoman.
“In the end, the necessary pieces did not fall into place, and there are currently no plans for off-campus student housing for fall 2014,” Alling said. “The specific next step has not been defined yet.
“Chancellor Netzhammer literally made this announcement to the Board of Regents this morning (Friday),” Alling said. “But we are not giving up on the idea of student housing. Stay tuned.”
