Graffiti was discovered Sunday on the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site headquarters building, 612 E. Reserve St.
A chief ranger called in the vandalism made with black spray paint, which was on the south side of the building, said Kim Kapp, spokeswoman for the Vancouver Police Department. The ranger was told to file an informational phone report because there was no suspect information.
The graffiti referenced the operation of Pearson Air Museum and contained threatening language, according to a statement made by Vancouver City Manager Eric Holmes, Tracy Fortmann, superintendent of the historic site and Elson Strahan, president of the Fort Vancouver National Trust.
The graffiti had been painted over by Wednesday evening.
