Plans are in the works to develop a 90-unit apartment complex on close to 20 acres in east Vancouver’s Columbia Tech Center mixed-use development, according to documents filed Wednesday with the city.

The project, called Columbia Tech Center Lofts, includes a four-story apartment building and amenities on land bordering the south side of Southeast Mill Plain Boulevard from 177th Avenue east to about 182nd. It would be developed by Columbia Tech Center LLC, which is owned and operated by Portland-based Pacific Realty Associates and Jeffrey Gordon.

Columbia Tech Center, bounded by major north-south arterials Southeast 164th and 192nd avenues, is a 412-acre development launched in the mid 1990s in response to Clark County’s rapid residential growth. The tech center now includes 2.7 million square feet of retail, office and residential space.

Comments on the proposed apartment complex will be accepted through 4 p.m. Oct. 16. Email to: patti.mcellrath@cityofvancouver.us, or mail to: Patti McEllrath, Community & Economic Development Department, P.O. Box 1995, Vancouver, Wash., 98668.
