Police are searching for a suspect in a robbery reported Monday evening at a Hazel Dell credit union.

The robbery was reported at 5:20 p.m. at Columbia Credit Union, 808 N.E. 98th Circle. A man entered the branch, implied that he had a weapon and demanded money from an employee, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

After getting an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled the bank on foot.

Police canvassed the area around the bank and a police dog searched for the suspect, but they were not able to find him. Anyone with information about the robbery or the suspect is asked to call 911 or the sheriff’s office at 360-397-2211.
