La Center farm gives trees to troops

La Center — La Center Farms co-owner and U.S. Coast Guard veteran Stephen Boynton knows how difficult it is for military personnel to be away from home for the holidays. That’s why he and his wife, Lissa Boynton, donated more than 100 of their farm’s grand fir trees this week to the national “Trees for Troops” program, which ships trees to military families to give them a bit of holiday comfort.
