Candidates for Drainage Improvement Districts 5, Drainage District 2 and Diking Improvement District 14 commissions must file paperwork with the Clark County Elections Department during filing week, 8 a.m. Dec. 9 to 5 p.m. Dec. 13.
Each district has three commissioners who each serve six-year terms and are responsible for all drainage or diking construction and maintenance projects in their district. To qualify, candidates must own land in the district for at least 30 days and be a registered voter in the district for at least 30 days.
Those commissioner elections are Feb. 4.
