One hundred and fifty Hockinson High School seniors learned CPR on Thursday.

Arianna Bulder, a senior at the high school, organized the event as part of her senior project; personnel from Fire District 3 trained the group of students on the lifesaving technique.

Clark County Medical Program Director Lynn Wittwer presented the benefits and techniques of hands-only CPR.

The song “Staying Alive” played in the background during the training, providing a 100 compressions-per-minute rhythm, which Fire District 3 public information officer Ray Steiger said is the proper pace for CPR.

For information on learning CPR, contact your local fire department.
