Mo Spieth of Union soccer was voted The Columbian’s high school fall sports athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Nov. 16.
Spieth collected 59 percent of the 515 votes cast by fans to beat out Monica Bottelberghe of Columbia River swimming, who had 32 percent.
Spieth recorded two saves and a shutout in the Titans’ 2-0 win at Moses Lake. Spieth added five more saves in keeping the Titans close in a 1-0 loss to Mead.
The other nominee was Evi Wilson of Columbia River volleyball.
This is the final athlete of the week for the fall sports season.
