Hazel Dell — Anne McEnerny-Ogle and her husband, Terry Ogle, were awarded the Boy Scouts of America National Lifesaving Award for their role in administering life-saving CPR to a fellow bicyclist in July 2012. Jeff Axel, representing the Cascade Pacific Council headquartered in Portland, made the presentation at a Scout leader roundtable meeting Nov. 14 at King’s Way High School. Adult leaders from 110 western Clark County Scout groups and about 20 youth members attended the ceremony. McEnerny-Ogle, a former Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 525, was with the troop on a cycling tour near Crater Lake National Park when the mother of one of the Scouts collapsed. She is the current chairman of the Fort Vancouver District Scout Committee, and is a Vancouver city council member-elect.
