All-stars: Seven Clark players were selected South and West Regions all-stars — Freshman forward Bernardino Ayala-Jimenez was named South Region MVP. Midfielders Juan Ayala-Jimenez, Christian Desir and Bryanth Garcia-Junco, defenders Langdon Roscoe and Abdiel Morfin, and goalkeeper Jonathan Morales were named South-West all-stars. Clark’s Biniam Afenegus was named South Region coach of the year.

All-stars: Clark forward Cristal Ruvalcaba and defender Krista Campbell received postseason honors. Clark coach Rochelle Hearns shared coach of the year honors for the South Region.

Record: 7-7 NWAACC West (T3rd of 8); 14-17 overall
This week: Clark is the No. 4 West team for the NWAACC Tournament at Mt. Hood Community College in Gresham, Ore. The Penguins open vs. Blue Mountain at 2 p.m. Thursday. The Penguins would next face either Clackamas or Shoreline at 8:15 p.m. Thursday (losers bracket) or at 12:30 p.m. Friday (winners bracket). The tournament runs through Sunday.
