A Vancouver man who allegedly drove his motorcycle at a Clark County sheriff’s deputy was arrested after the deputy used a Taser to detain him.
Deputy Greg Chaney was driving in a patrol car in the 5300 block of Northeast 237th Avenue about 8 a.m. Friday when he stopped to contact a man on the side of the road with a motorcycle that appeared to be disabled, Sgt. Dave Trimble said.
When Chaney pulled over, the man, later identified as Clifton Carl Sadewasser, 52, got onto his motorcycle and drove toward him, bumping the door of Chaney’s patrol car and crashing into a ditch, Trimble said.
Sadewasser allegedly took off on foot. Chaney used his Taser on Sadewasser, but that he “pulled out one of darts from Taser and still tried to run,” Trimble said.
