Homebuilding activity in Clark County picked up in October from the previous month and showed year-over-year gains as well, according to a county report issued Wednesday.
There were 70 permits handed out to build single-family homes in unincorporated parts of the county in October, up nearly 30 percent from September’s total of 54 permits — and a 15 percent increase from the 61 permits handed out in October 2012.
October’s 70 permits for new single-family homes were valued at $23.4 million. There were 61 permits valued at $19.3 million in October 2012.
