Clark County home sales in October declined by 5.2 percent from a month earlier, although sales continued to show year-over-year improvement, according to a report issued Thursday.
October’s closed sales of 514 existing homes, which includes single-family houses, condos and townhouses, was higher than the 487 sales in the same month last year and down from the 542 homes sold in September, Portland-based RMLS reported. Meanwhile, more county residents signed contracts to buy homes in October, activity reflected by 663 pending home sales, a 12.8 percent increase from 588 pending sales in the same month last year.
The median sales price — half sold for more, half for less — of all houses sold in Clark County was $219,000 in October, dropping nearly 7 percent from the previous month but up 11 percent from the same month last year.
