Mason Minder scored off a free kick in the first half as the Camas girls soccer team earned a 4A state berth with a 1-0 win over Curtis on Thursday at McKenzie Stadium.

Marie Matthews made six saves in goal to earn the shutout.

Camas advances to a 2 p.m. match on Saturday against Gig Harbor at Mt. Tahoma High School.

Girls soccer

Union 2, Auburn Riverside 1 — Alex Sanders headed in a cross from Melissa Foster with 1:37 left in the second overtime to send Union to a win in a bi-district playoff at McKenzie Stadium.

Union will face Federal Way on Saturday for a berth to state.

Prairie 3, North Thurston 2 — Shannon Sterling and Alyssa Adams teamed up twice for goals in the second half, sending the Falcons to within one win of the state tournament.

Sterling scored twice off assists from Adams. Claire Papworth gave Prairie a 1-0 lead in the first half with a goal with an assist to Tori Mehl.

Prairie will face Hazen on Saturday for a berth to state.

Bonney Lake 2, Mountain View 1 — An unlikely goal ended the Thunder’s season.

Shona Ramsay’s high arcing shot from 30 yards dipped under the crossbar with five minutes to play. That lifted Bonney Lake over Mountain View, the No. 2 seed from the GSHL, in a bi-district playoff game at Kiggins Bowl.

The teams exchanged goals within one minute early in the second half. Bonney Lake’s Kelsey Lund angled a cross into the goal from five yards out. Savanna Craig tied the game with a 25-yard shot that a sprawling goalkeeper couldn’t deflect.

Ridgefield 1, Black Hills 0 — The Spudders won the 2A district title and will host a state playoff game.

Liz Smith scored unassisted in the first half, and Jenna Rogers made four saves in goal to preserve the shut out against Black Hills.

Hockinson 4, Tumwater 2 — Rylee Seekins scored three goals and assisted on Gabrielle Burrell’s goal as the Hawks moved on to Saturday’s third-place match in the 2A district playoffs.

Hockinson will face either Mark Morris or Capital in a winner-to-state, loser-out match.

Elma 3, Woodland 1 — The Beavers got knocked into a loser-out game on Saturday with a loss in the 1A district playoffs. Woodland will face White Salmon at noon Saturday in Kalama for the third berth to the state tournament.

2A district — Shannon Boyle had 12 kills, nine digs and three aces as Ridgefield swept past Black Hills in the first round of the 2A district tournament in Tumwwater.

The Spudders, who won 25-14, 25-11, 25-22, will face Tumwater at 11 a.m. Saturday in the district semifinal. Win that and Ridgefield will clinch a state berth.

Lose, and the Spudders need to win two loser-out matches Saturday to advance.
