The Clark County Regional Major Crimes Team is investigating an officer-involved shooting that happened Thursday morning in a rural Battle Ground neighborhood.
A deputy with the U.S. Marshals Service fired at the car of a fleeing wanted man about 10:30 a.m. in the 7800 block of Northeast 239th Street, according to Clark County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Fred Neiman.
Deputies from the U.S. Marshals Service were in the area attempting to take a wanted felon into custody when the man fled in a vehicle toward a deputy marshal, Neiman said in a press release.
The deputy marshal fired a service weapon during the escape attempt, Neiman said, but nobody was hit and no one was injured.
