Seattle Sounders at Portland Timbers

Kickoff: 8 p.m. today at Jeld-Wen Field.

TV/radio: NBCSN (Cable Ch. 32/732) / FM 101.1.

Second leg of Western Conference semifinal playoff: Total goals over the two matches decides the winner. Portland leads 2-1 after Saturday’s game in Seattle. If Portland ties or wins today, the Timbers advance to the Western Conference finals. If Seattle wins by at least two goals, the Sounders advance. If Seattle wins by one goal, an additional 30 minutes will be played. If the teams remain tied, the series will be decided by penalty kicks.

Head to head: This will be the fifth meeting between the rivals in 2013. Portland has won twice, Seattle once and there has been one draw.

Timbers story: The Timbers are on a nine-match unbeaten run (six wins). Prior to Seattle’s goal in the 90th minute on Saturday, the Timbers had not been scored against for 370 minutes. At home, the Timbers had are 11-0-4 over their last 15 matches. They have not been scored against in their last five home games.

Diego Valeri (10 goals and 13 assists) continues to play through an adductor injury. Ryan Johnson and Darlington Nagbe each scored his 10th goal of the season on Saturday. Forward Maximiliano Urruti (hamstring) is expected to be available for selection.

Seattle story: Sounders coach Sigi Schmid will have several lineup decisions to make. Goalkeeper Michael Gspurning is eligible and seems likely to return. But forward Lamar Neagle is suspended for this match. Right back DeAndre Yedlin might return after missing Saturday’s match with an ankle injury. The status of forward Obafemi Martins (groin), the logical choice to replace Neagle, might not be known until lineups are announced.
