Countryside Woods adopts namesake park

Countryside Woods — The Countryside Woods Neighborhood Association recently adopted Countryside Park, promising to maintain the public space through Vancouver’s Adopt-A-Park program. Neighborhood association Chair Steve Wille will lead efforts to keep the park clean and free of invasive plants. Since pledging to look after the park, volunteers from the community have donated 146 hours of their time, according to the association’s latest newsletter. The next park cleanup day is set for Nov. 16 from 9 a.m. to noon. Call Wille at 360-260-8882 to sign up.
