Dominik Gorecki placed second and the doubles team of Lane Cooper and Ian David placed third to lift Columbia River to a team victory in the Class 3A bi-district tournament in Olympia.

Gorecki reached the singles finals, where he lost 6-1, 6-1 to Wyatt DeMulling of Highline.

After losing to the eventual bi-district champions in the semifinals, Cooper and David avenged a loss in the district tournament to Mountain View’s Colton Reed and Nick Shiraishi, beating the Thunder duo 6-0, 6-1 to place third.

Both River entries, as well as the Mountain View doubles team, will advance to state in the Tri-Cities next May.

Columbia River beat out Kennedy Catholic and Highline for the team title.
