A man claiming to be wearing a bomb robbed an east Vancouver business Friday night, according to emergency radio traffic.

The robbery occurred about 9 p.m. at Mary Jane’s House of Glass, 212 N.E. 164th Ave. The robber reportedly told store employees that he was wearing an explosive device.

Witnesses said the robber was white, possibly in his 20s, 5 feet 7 inches tall and about 130 pounds, wearing a gray hoodie, a white mask and dark pants. He had blue eyes and no facial hair.

The robber got cash and was last seen running north on Northeast 164th Avenue.

Vancouver police were searching the area late Friday night.
