If a team can only get one win in a season, it’s a little extra special to get it in the rivarly game.

Jordan Suell threw three touchdown passes in the second quarter, leading the Trappers to the Class 3A GSHL victory in the season finale for both teams.

Ben Brown added two touchdown runs in the third quarter as the Trappers raced out to a 33-0 lead.

Fort Vancouver coach Todd Quinsey said his seniors deserved to go out with a win, adding that he is proud of the 13 of them who laid a foundation for the team’s future.

“The real work for next season will begin in the weight room,” Quinsey said. “Football isn’t a three-month-a-year sport.”

Bay’s offense was repeatedly shut down by multiple turnovers and other mistakes.

Bay quarterback Stone Sabourin did run into the end zone in the fourth quarter to avoid the shutout.

Fort and Bay each won one game this season.
