Cancer centers, nonprofits host survivors day

Area hospitals, cancer centers and nonprofit groups are hosting a celebration of life for cancer survivors and their families.

The National Cancer Survivors Day event is from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 2 at The Rose Quarter, 1 N. Center Court in Portland. Event parking in the Rose Quarter Garage is free, as is admission to the event.

The event will include creative health and wellness activities, food and refreshments, photo booth keepsakes, fun children’s activities, beading cancer bracelets, henna tattoos, art activities, gift basket giveaways, community resource displays and music.
