Plans for $400M natural gas power plant at Kalama stall

Plans for a $400 million natural gas-fueled power plant at Kalama are on hold after one of the partners dropped out of the project.

Energy Northwest says it’s looking for another company to replace Canada-based Veresen, which withdrew last month due to market conditions.

The uncertainty prompted Williams Northwest to withdraw an application for a three-mile pipeline to service the plant.
