The 49th annual Hazel Dell Parade of Bands will feature 22 marching bands from around Clark County. The theme is Super Heroes, with participants encouraged to dress up as fictional or real heroes. Jim Sork will be the grand marshal. Community organizations, clubs, businesses and students will be participating in the parade with floats, cars and more.
When: 10:30 a.m. today.
Where: Hazel Dell neighborhood, along Northeast Hazel Dell Avenue to Northeast 63rd Street, up Highway 99 to Northeast 78th Street.

Senior connections
With more than 120 exhibits offering ideas, services and resources , the 50+ Connections Expo is for empty nesters, retirees and aging parents interested in learning about living active and independent lifestyles. Topics range from health to recreation, housing to nutrition. There will also be free health screenings, presentations, prize giveaways and fashion shows.

Musical personalities
Husband and wife duo Mickey and Diane Stevens will perform a Music Variety Show as an array of characters. They will bring back classic eras of music as they perform a catalog of cover songs from jazz standards to classic rock.
