Police release name of man shot to death Thursday in Vancouver

The Vancouver Police Department has released the name of a man who was fatally shot Thursday at a house in the Fruit Valley neighborhood.

A VPD bulletin said the man was Thomas L. Miller, 45.

Miller was shot at about 5:24 p.m. Thursday in the yard of 1927 W. 27th St., at the corner with Fruit Valley Road. A man who lived in the house is believed to be the one who fired the weapon, and police have said it appears the two men knew each other.

The name of the man who fired the gun was not released.

The bulletin said the Southwest Washington Regional Major Crimes Team is continuing its investigation into the case.

No arrests have been made.

The bulletin asked that anyone with information that may be pertinent to the case call the Vancouver Police Department’s tip line at 360-487-7399.
