Crews are on scene of a wild land fire north of Washougal that has already burned about 2.5 acres of slash, according to the state Department of Natural Resources.
The fire was reported about noon Saturday near the Jones Creek Trail between Larch Mountain and Washougal, according to a DNR dispatcher.
As of Saturday afternoon, the state had dispatched a helicopter and ground crews to battle the fire.
