Downtown restaurant Thai Orchid has postponed its April 10 grand re-opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new location, 213 W. 11th St., due to “unforeseen circumstances,” a written statement said. The restaurant’s current location will remain open on the corner of West Evergreen Boulevard and Washington Street.
Restaurant owner Kat Saenguraiporn last year purchased the new site — a one-story building — for $750,000. Thai Orchid has served Thai cuisine since 1997 in its current leased space The venue’s new site is located on the same city block.
