Camas singer wins scholarship

Camas — The 2013 winner of the Vancouver USA Singers High School Scholarship is Jason Hamann, a Camas baritone with an extensive background in musical theater and vocal performances. The Camas High School senior sang his winning solo at the Vancouver Singers Center Stage concert on March 23. Hamann has taken the stage at the Oregon Bach Festival in Eugene, Ore., with the Consonare Chorale of Portland and in numerous shows at his school. He said he plans to continue pursuing music education in college.
