Skills Center students stand up in court

Image — Criminal Justice students from the Clark County Skills Center dominated the recent District and Regional Mock Trials, held at the Clark County Courthouse and Clackamas Community College. Regional winners in the crisis intervention/domestic violence competition were Alex Herman and Michael Escalona, 1st place; Craig Murray and Edgar Quintero, 2nd place; and Jace Caffey and Garrett Deschand, 3rd place. In problem-oriented policing, Iliya Kalachik and Killian Hillyer shared 2nd place and Natalie Bessette and Samantha Zumstein shared 3rd.

After the Clark County District Mock Trials, Superior Court Judge Robert A. Lewis recognized the following outstanding Skills Center performers: Anna Babcox, Jay Arvidson, Alejandro Aguilar, Blake Robinson, Gabby Oliver, Jacob Cushman and Richard Stancliff.
