The Columbia River Economic Development Council, Clark County’s largest nonprofit jobs promoter and business recruiter, has launched a new website offering a more user-friendly format and up-to-date information about the state and local business climate.
The new website refreshes the CREDC’s brand and logo, offers timely information about the business resources it offers and showcases the organization’s efforts to recruit and expand businesses, according to Diane Dempcy, manager of investor relations for the group.
The new-look website also reflects the CREDC’s desire to become more visible, especially in light of its efforts to carry out a new countywide economic development plan, Dempcy said. That plan, finalized in September 2011, calls for broad cooperation among governments and private companies to drive job growth and to help lower unemployment in Clark County.
Dempcy said Gravitate, a Vancouver-based digital marketing and design company, built the CREDC’s new website. The website contains “a lot more information,” she said. “It’s a lot more navigable than what we previously had.”
