Tried & True and Some New, Too: 11 a.m. March 23. Learn some easy-to-care-for plant varieties that have been tried-and-true, as well as a few you may not have heard of that are new for 2013.

Master Gardeners on the Road Tour: This tour offers you a behind-the-scenes look at how larger-scale operations convert organic waste products into living composts that have beneficial microbes and soil-building properties. Vans depart at 8:45 a.m. March 20 from Enterprise Rent-A-Car, 9319 N.E. Highway 99, and return at 4 p.m. Stops include: Soil Builders, Shorty’s, H & H Orchards, and Yard n’ Garden.
