Three evening meetings have been scheduled for the public to hear about — and ask questions regarding — the April 23 Battle Ground Public Schools replacement levy for educational programs, maintenance and operations.

Levy ballots will be mailed April 3. The levy failed on its first try on Feb. 12.

The levy would take effect in January 2014. The current levy, which voters approved in 2010, expires in December 2013. Residents would not pay on both levies at the same time.

The public meetings are:

• 6 to 7 p.m. Monday in the library at Battle Ground High School, 300 W. Main St., Battle Ground;

• 6 to 7 p.m. March 26 in the west commons at Yacolt Primary School, 406 W. Yacolt Road, Yacolt; and

• 6 to 7 p.m. March 28 in the library at Prairie High School, 11500 N.E. 117th Ave., Vancouver.

The meetings are sponsored by Battle Ground Public Schools.
