Sen. Ann Rivers, and Reps. Liz Pike and Brandon Vick will host an 18th Legislative District town hall meeting in Camas on Saturday.
The hour-long town hall event begins at 2 p.m., at Camas High School, 26900 S.E. 15th St. A town hall will also be held that day at 10 a.m. in Battle Ground, at City Hall, 109 S.W. First St.
Rivers, R-La Center, said she’s anticipating a repeat of the strong turnout at the town-hall meetings the two held in early January, also held in Camas and Battle Ground, just before the legislative session began.
“Representative Pike and I each took concerns we’ve heard from the people we serve and turned those into legislation — a total of two dozen bills between us,” said Rivers, who is among the top leaders of the Senate Majority Coalition Caucus. “We can talk about where that legislation stands now that we’ve just moved into the second half of the session; I’m also looking forward to sharing details about the progress our bipartisan coalition has made in the Senate, and discussing some of the major decisions that are ahead of us,” said Rivers, who is.
