Camas — East County Fire & Rescue is hosting Community Emergency Response Team classes at its station in April. There’s still room left in the semi-annual 20-hour course that teaches basic disaster preparedness.

East County uses curriculum developed by the Federal Emergency Management Agency that shows average people how to help themselves, their family and their community during a crisis when emergency services will be overwhelmed.

For information, call 360-834-4908, visit http://ecfr.us or stop by Station 91, 600 N.E. 267th Ave. in Camas.

The $30 course is 7 to 9:30 p.m., April 19; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 20; 7 to 9:30 p.m., April 26; and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 27. Classes are held at Station 91.
