A 19-year-old Hazel Dell man pleaded not guilty Thursday in Clark County Superior Court to shooting at another teen on Jan. 26 after the boy failed to find marijuana for their group of friends.
Kevin T. Barsotti, who is out of jail after posting $75,000 bail, is charged specifically with drive-by shooting. His trial is tentatively scheduled for April 29.
Jeffrey Barrar has replaced Edward Dunkerly as Barsotti’s defense attorney.
Terrance B. Joshua, 21, of Vancouver also was scheduled to be arraigned Thursday on a charge of drive-by shooting, but his hearing was delayed until Friday because of a scheduling conflict with his attorney, David Schultz. Joshua is accused of driving the vehicle during the alleged crime.
A probable cause affidavit states:
The victim, referred to as “Zack” in court records, promised the two defendants and their friend that he would find them some marijuana. The group drove around Orchards while Zack made cellphone calls to possible sellers. After his efforts appeared unsuccessful, the two defendants kicked Zack out of the car.
