A Vancouver man suspected of drunk driving crashed near Banks, Ore., early Tuesday morning, and his three children were taken to the hospital with injuries.
Matthew D. Evans, 25, was driving a 2002 Ford Explorer on Highway 6 west of Banks, Ore., just after midnight Tuesday when he left the roadway, collided with a guardrail and rolled into a ditch, according to Oregon State Police Lt. Gregg Hastings.
Police said alcohol was involved.
The man’s two-year-old daughter was ejected from the vehicle and transported by ambulance to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in Portland with injuries believed to not be life-threatening, police said.
Evans’ other two children, his 5-year-old daughter and 6-month-old son, sustained minor injuries and were transported by relatives to a hospital, Hastings said in a release.
