Ski the steepest slopes. Longboard in Mallorca, Spain. Whitewater kayak in Quebec. The Radical Reels Tour features 11 action-packed outdoor films at 7 p.m. March 7 at the Battle Ground Cinema, 1700 S.W. Ninth Ave. The screening features the best high-adrenaline short films entered into the Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival competition. Proceeds from the screening benefit the Volcano Rescue Team. This local group of volunteer mountain rescuers — who have come to the aid of stranded climbers on Mount St. Helens and hikers in the Ape Cave — uses the money to purchase supplies. Rescues can involve a flurry of ropes, webbing, carabiners, pulleys, harnesses, helmets and many other rescue systems that need to be constantly updated.

Tour tickets are $15 through Brown Paper Tickets. For more information, visit the Radical Reels website.
