The Hayden Island Business Alliance in North Portland, created in mid-2011, is up and running. The alliance’s mission is to “to promote Hayden Island as a unique destination to visit, shop, live and recreate, and to enhance the connection to the surrounding Columbia River communities,” it said in a statement.
Hayden Island is home to Jantzen Beach Mall and other businesses that are popular with Clark County residents. The association has a 10-member board that meets on the second Tuesday of each month. It has about 555 members.
