Police searched the Marrion neighborhood Monday afternoon for a man who had a warrant out for his arrest.
Just after 1 p.m., a woman called police to report her son as a runaway, but when police arrived in the 1300 block of Northeast 104th Avenue, the boy’s father took off.
“Dad apparently had a felony warrant,” Vancouver Police spokeswoman Kim Kapp said. “He physically ran away as well.”
The man was taken into custody after police searched the area with a K-9 unit. He was booked into the Clark County jail on a Pierce County warrant.
