PORTLAND — Three drownings were reported Sunday in Portland-area waters.

The Multnomah County sheriff’s dive team is searching the Sandy River for a pre-school-age child lost at Glen Otto Park in Troutdale. Police say the child and another young child were playing in the water when they went into deep water. Life guards pulled out one child but were unable to find the second.

The Yamhill County sheriff’s office says searchers and divers are looking in the Willamette River near Dayton for 20-year-old Anthony Jimenez of McMinnville. He was lost while trying to swim across the river with friends.

The Clackamas County sheriff’s office says 19-year-old Andrew Jason Moats of Salem fell off an inner tube and drowned in the Molalla River. His body was recovered by emergency responders.
