Washington ranks 16th nationwide in private equity and growth capital investment value in 2012, according to new data released Thursday by the Private Equity Growth Capital Council.
Private equity invested $8.2 billion in 39 Washington-based companies last year, according to the “Private Equity: Top States and Districts” report (www.privateequityatwork.com) said. The state ranks 17th nationwide when evaluated by the number of private equity investments.
Now in its third year, the analysis found that private equity and growth capital invested $347 billion in more than 2,000 U.S.-based companies nationwide.
