The race is on.
More than 2,000 runners are expected to take to the streets of Vancouver Sunday morning for the third annual Vancouver USA Marathon and Half-Marathon.
The 26.2-mile marathon started at 7:06 a.m. Sunday at Esther Short Park. The half-marathon begins at 9 a.m. The start/finish line is on Columbia Street on the east side of the park.
Expect road closures downtown, in addition to west along Lower River Road, and as far east as Wintler Park just off Highway 14. Course map and list of road closures are posted at www.vancouverusamarathon.com. All races will be completed by 11:30 a.m.
