Investigators are again asking for the public’s help in determining who cut off the head of “Wendy Rose.”
The sculpture, along Vancouver’s Columbia River waterfront, was found damaged on May 13. The red glass welded in the shape of a bandanna that was atop the 10-foot aluminum statue had been cut off and removed. The statue stands to honor the group of women who worked at the Kaiser Shipyard during World War II.
Crime Stoppers of Oregon is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest in this case.
