A Longview woman was injured in a rear-end collision Monday afternoon on Interstate 5 northbound in Ridgefield.

Just after 12:30 p.m., Amanda Ziegler, 18, of Woodland was stopped for construction traffic near Exit 14 when her Mazda 3 was rear-ended by a Honda Accord that failed to stop, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The Accord continued off the roadway to the left, into the center median, and came to rest against the cable barrier. The driver, Nancy Muroarias, 20, of Longview was injured in the crash and transported to Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center, then discharged.

She was cited for driving too fast for the conditions, the patrol said.
